Nissans Next Innovation-- The e-Pedal

Nissan will be introducing a revolutionary innovation with the release of the 2018 Leaf that will change driving forever, and in a good way. Similar to the regenerative breaking in the Tesla Model 3 and BMW i3, Nissan has introduced a new Leaf with an e-Pedal accelerator. The e-Pedal is the very first one pedal innovation that can cover up to 90% of the drivers’ needs.

Fear not, there will still be a regular brake pedal for harder braking or emergency situations. To use it, you press the e-Pedal button, ease off the accelerator to reduce speed, release the pedal to stop and press the pedal for full acceleration. The e-Pedal can bring the car to a complete stop even on hills, then resume driving instantly.

This development and its mechanisms may sound intimidating, but we are assured that this will be a more fun and simple way to drive. Nissan Leafs e-Pedal will be especially beneficial during city driving and situations where there is heavy traffic. During these conditions drivers have to constantly shift from one pedal to the other, and the e-Pedal will eliminate this need.

The new feature is one of a couple of driver-focused systems planned for the new 2018 Leaf. The automaker also announced that the electric car will feature Pro Pilot Assist-- a driver assistance system that automatically controls acceleration, braking and steering on single-lane highways. It will also be equipped with a fully autonomous parking feature.

The e-Pedal is a monumental milestone for Nissan, not only in the way they build cars, or even in the way they influence the market, but predominantly in the way the influence their customers’ lifestyles. Ka- PAO!

The Nissan Pao is a three-door, five seater hatchback that was produced from 1989-1991. The Pao was a catalyst of the retro fad in Japan. Although made in the late 80’s, the design for the Pao was greatly inspired ‘50s French design. Nissan created this unique gem in limited quantities, only in Japan, as the Pao was meant to enhance the younger generations image of Nissan. It worked too, and the Pao actually ignited a retro fad that went on for years in Japan.

Outside there's plenty of vintage design elements to love—from the exposed hinges to its cute fascia  and retractable soft top roof—and that's much the same story inside as well.

The Nissan Pao is a four-cylinder engine, which puts the Pao at 34 mpg paired to an automatic 6.9 L,    and   44 mpg with the 5.4 manual version.  provided 51 horsepower from the factory. Admittedly,         that's not a  lot, however these cars were quite light on their feet and weighed only 1,670 pounds (not quite "kei car"  small, though). A three-speed automatic transmission came standard, but a five-speed manual was optional.

As mentioned before, Pao production was limited- only 10,000 units were made. Exclusivity has its own appeal, after all, and the Pao was primarily a marketing tool for Nissan anyways.

Interested customers had to submit a reservation between the dates on January 15^th and April 14^th in 1989. Orders were delivered in accordance with the order placing. The new fashion icon sold out in just 3 months back then, and is now being fervently sought after in the modern JDM community.

If the Pao has likewise stolen your heart, you may actually be able to track one down through a Japanese exporter. They don’t last long on the market however, so I’d be safe rather than sorry and buy the first one you find.

The Pao is currently being sold between $3-5k. If you want my opinion- that is deplorably low!

The Midnight Edition

Around this time last year, the Nissan Maxima was given a limited time ‘Midnight Edition’ package that extended the appeal of a fresh black paint job with prominent black accents, black highlights, and an overall aura of darkness on top of the added amenities. The Altima will have the 'Midnight Edition' option available for the SR and SR Turbo models and will feature the exclusive black 'Midnight Edition' 18” alloy wheels, black  mirror caps, a black rear spoiler, signature embroidered floor mats, signature LED Daytime Running Lights and Remote Start and Stop System with Intelligent Climate Control. The package is a total value of $2290 but can be added for only $990.

The 'Midnight Edition' package will be available on the Murano Platinum trim level and will include black 20” 'Midnight Edition' aluminum-alloy wheels, black roof rails, black mirror caps, black splash guards and the exclusive embroidered floor mats. This totals to a value of $1895 but can be added for just $1195.

2017 Nissan Titan

The Titan is Nissans new smaller pickup truck with unbeatable towing power and the best standard warranty in the truck market. The design and layout of the Titan may seem outdated in comparison to its main competitors, but standards on truck styling have begun to evolve way beyond status quo. Most truck shoppers are inherently looking for utility and reliability over sporty performance and luxurious materials; hence the forthright and concise styling of the Titan seems more than apt.

The Voluptuous Nissan Juke

Theres nothing out there even remotely similar to the Nissan Juke, and more often than not, the appeal of its wayward body comes directly from its novelty. 2017 Nissan Armada

The Nissan Armadas square cut body style is reminiscent of a good portion of the higher end luxury SUVs currently in the market. The Armada favors sharp lines that flow evenly from front to back, creating hard edges and a wholly aggressive stance. The side window line is the sole exception of the geometric design, curving upwards and pointing outwards to the rear, which nicely creates a fluid sense of motion and relaxes the overall look just a bit.

That upscale look extends to the interior, where the Armada features more substantial soft-touch materials and bolder accents than in the past. The design is fairly simple, with an 8.0-inch touchscreen on the center stack and a flight of buttons and controls below it. The Armada seats eight, though optional second-row bucket seats reduce seating capacity to seven. Reclining second-row seats are standard, and they tip forward for easier access to the third row. You’ll immediately notice the spacious second-row seats, which have best-in-class head- and legroom. Standard technology features include Bluetooth connectivity, an 8-inch touchscreen interface, a navigation system, and a 13-speaker Bose audio system with a CD player, satellite radio, an auxiliary audio jack and a USB media player interface.

The 2017 Nissan Armada is powered by a 5.6 L V8 engine with an output of 390 horsepower and 394 pound-feet of torque, paired with a seven speed automatic transmission. A limited-slip differential, hill start assist and a tow mode are all standard, and the Armada is capable of towing a whopping 8,500 lbs when properly equipped- as high as any other SUV currently on the market.

Standard safety features includes antilock brakes, traction and stability control, front side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags, and a rearview camera. A blind-spot monitoring system, forward collision warning, and automatic emergency braking for both frontal and rear collisions are optional on the SL and standard on the Platinum.

Nissan X-Trail 4Dogs

The Nissan X-Trail 4Dogs is a concept following a survey of over 1300 dog owners conducted by a renowned dog health and welfare organization called The Kennel Club. The features in the X-Trail have been thoughtfully developed to enable convenient, hassle free travel for the whole family.

Ensuring their pet's needs are catered for is often just as important as making sure the children are comfortable and happy. All things required to ensure clean and comfortable travels have been considered in the X-Trails design. It features a 360 degree pull-out shower paired with a hair dryer for thorough cleaning. The rear compartment is equipped with a pull out utility drawer for stowing the shower attachments, as well as side compartments for storing other accessories like treats and leads.

Doggie amenities in the rear space include lavish bedding, an ingenious no-spill water bowl, and a nifty smart dog treat dispenser. Once the dogs have settled into their plush bedding, simply attach their leads to the clip-on harness hook for safe travels. The bedding, water bowl and treat dispenser are all easily removed to create a usable space upholstered in premium wipe clean leather for effortless dirt and hair removal.

Possibly the best feature of all is the innovative ‘dog-cam’ technology.
